Virat Kohli smashed an unbeaten ton against Pakistan in Champions Trophy 2025.

India beat Pakistan by six wickets in Champions Trophy 2025.

Former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu lavished praise on Virat Kohli after the modern-day great smashed his 82nd century during the Champions Trophy 2025 clash against Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. He believes that Kohli can easily play for the next two to three years and he will get another 10 or 15 centuries.

Kohli who faced a lot of criticism for his poor ODI outings after the 2023 World Cup got his mojo back with bat during India's second league match against arch-rivals Pakistan. The 36-year-old smashed an unbeaten match-winning century against the Mohammad Rizwan-led side to seal India's berth for the semifinal at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

Sidhu who is currently doing commentary duties in the Champions Trophy 2025 believes that since Kohli smashed a ton against arch-rivals, people will remember that for at least 10 years.

“Character is not made in a crisis, it is exhibited. This is a man (Virat Kohli) with pedigree, with passion. And after this 100, I can say it with conviction that this man is playing for the next 2 or 3 years and he is getting another 10 or 15 hundred. That, you take it from me. Because, you see, the ultimate litmus test for anyone is how he goes through the adverse times, how he embraces adversity. Last six months, there has been so much going on that he chose his moment. When he scored runs against Pakistan, people are not going to forget it for 10 years” said Sidhu on Star Sports.

While featuring against Pakistan, Kohli reached another milestone as became the second Indian and third in the world to score 14000 ODI runs after Sachin Tendulkar (18,246 runs) and Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara (14,234 runs).

India have won both of their league matches and now the Men in Blue will face New Zealand for their league match which will take place on March 2 at the same venue.
