Former India star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh lavished praise on his former teammate Virat Kohli after the star batter smashed his 82nd century during an ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash against arch-rivals Pakistan. Kohli's century helped India to register a six-wicket win against Pakistan.
Yuvraj Singh who featured alongside Virat in the 2011 ODI World Cup recently predicted that Kohli would get his mojo back in the Champions Trophy. As Kohli smashed an unbeaten ton to seal India's berth in the semifinal, Yuvraj took his 'X' formerly known as Twitter to praise the India star.
"Come the hour come the man ! King kohli at his best @imVkohli #goat great 💯 well played @ShreyasIyer15 @ShubmanGill
looked like a one sided game for 🇮🇳 well bowled bowling unit specially @hardikpandya7 @imkuldeep18" posted Yuvraj Singh.
The win should be enough for Rohit Sharma & Co., who are now on top of Group A with four points, to make the last four. However, Pakistan are staring at early elimination from the eight-team event after their second successive loss.
Chasing a tricky 242, India rode on Kohli's 51st ODI ton, Shreyas Iyer's classy 67-ball 56 and Shubman Gill's brilliant start of 46 off 52 balls to overhaul the target with more than seven overs to spare.
