Arshdeep Singh stood tall with a nine-wicket spell for India D against India B.

Arshdeep Singh sent a strong message to the selectors with a remarkable performance in the Duleep Trophy 2024 following India's convincing victory over Bangladesh in the first Test. Despite being a regular in white-ball cricket, Arshdeep Singh has yet to earn his maiden Test call-up. Arshdeep was initially considered a potential candidate for the Test squad against Bangladesh but was ultimately overlooked in favor of Yash Dayal, who is also uncapped at the international level.

Disappointed by this decision, Arshdeep took matters into his own hands and delivered an outstanding performance in the Duleep Trophy. Representing India D against India B, he claimed nine wickets, showcasing his exceptional skills. In the first innings, Arshdeep dismissed key batsmen like Suryakumar Yadav, Nitish Reddy, and Musheer Khan.

The India D bowlers continued their dominance in the second innings, dismissing India B for a paltry total of 115 runs in just 22.2 overs. Despite the opportunity to rotate their bowlers, India D maintained the same bowling attack throughout the innings, with Arshdeep Singh and Aditya Thakare bowling consistently.
