India's star pacer Arshdeep Singh is gearing up for the five-match T20I series against England which is set to start from January 22.

Arshdeep Singh, a key contributor to India's historic T20 World Cup 2024 triumph under Rohit Sharma's captaincy, has emerged as a mainstay of the Indian pace bowling unit in the shortest format. He was the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. After missing the 2023 Cricket World Cup, the 25-year-old has earned a place in the Indian ODI team for the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy.

Since his debut in July 2022, Arshdeep Singh has consistently impressed, featuring in 60 matches and claiming 95 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 8.32 and an average of 18.10. His exceptional performance during the South Africa T20I series in November saw him achieve a significant milestone. He etched his name in history by surpassing all other Indian pacers to become the nation's leading wicket-taker in T20I cricket.

Arshdeep Singh has the opportunity to create history in the upcoming series against England. With just two more wickets, he will surpass Yuzvendra Chahal to become India's leading wicket-taker in T20I cricket. Chahal currently holds the record with 96 wickets in 80 matches.
