Jason Holder picked up four wickets in four balls to secure a 17-run victory against England in the fifth and final T20I of the series, on January 30 (Sunday), at the Kensington Oval, Barbados, to win the series 3-2.
In the final over of the innings, Holder had 20 runs to defend but it was not a good start for the hosts as the 30-year-old fast bowler started the over with a first-ball-no-ball in the first ball.

But things changed dramatically after that, as Chris Jordan was the first English player to be dismissed on the second delivery of the over. Sam Billings was the next player to be dismissed who played a fine knock of 41 runs off 28 balls. On the fourth ball of the over, English spinner Adil Rashid had to depart without scoring a run and the last player to be sent back to the dressing room was Saqib Mahmood (0).
Earlier, batting first, the hosts registered a formidable total of 179/4 in 20 overs. West Indies openers- Brandon King (34 runs off 31 balls) and Kyle Mayers (31 runs off 19 balls), started the innings on a positive note and put up an opening partnership of 59 runs. But a sudden collapse saw, the hosts lose wickets in quick succession as in the 11th over of the innings they were found reeling at 89/3.
Later, skipper Kieron Pollard played a solid innings of 41 runs (not out) off 25 balls. Along with the skipper, Rovman Powell contributed significantly after scoring 35 runs off just 17 balls. Powell’s innings was comprised of 4 sixes and a solitary boundary.

In reply, in the first over of the innings, England team lost their opener Jason Roy (8 runs off 5 balls). In the fourth over of the innings, the visitors lost their second opener after Tom Banton had to depart scoring just 16 runs.
Stand-in skipper Moeen Ali and James Vince produced a handy partnership of 46 runs off 39 balls but last match’s hero, Ali (14 runs off 19 deliveries) was dismissed eventually, as Holder scalped his first wicket of the match.
Vince looked dangerous after he smashed 4 boundaries but Akeal Hosein managed to send him back to the dressing room in the 14th over of the match.
Ultimately, it came down to the last over and Holder with all his experience and skills defended the total successfully as the visitors were all-out after scoring 162 runs. Man of the match- Holder, picked up five wickets conceding 27 runs.
