An Australian supporter captured the hearts of many at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, by chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' during Pakistan versus Australia's ODI World Cup clash on Friday, October 20.
Babar Azam's Pakistan faced a heavy 62-runs loss at the hands of Australia to record back-to-back defeats in the ongoing ODI World Cup. There were clutch of performers in David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Adam Zampa and Shaheen Afridi who dazzled in the match, but what caught more eyeballs was an Australian fans who was hogging limelight at the stands.
An enthusiastic Australian fan, amidst the cricket fervor of the Australia vs Pakistan match, spread his arms wide and passionately chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. This spectacle not only captured the moment but also earned him immense cheers from the ecstatic crowd.

While the match was a crucial encounter for both teams, Pakistan unfortunately inked their second consecutive defeat in the World Cup 2023. Their first setback came on October 14 against Team India.
Batting first Australia rode on David Warner and Mitchell Marsh's towering centuries to post a commendable total of 367/9. Both batters put forth their cricketing prowess, etching their names in the annals of World Cup history.
While Warner scored a blistering 163 runs, the birthday boy Marsh delighted his fans by producing his all-time best ODI score of 121 runs. Together, their synergy on the field resulted in a 259-run partnership, making it the second highest in World Cup history. They were only outshone by Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga of Sri Lanka, who set the pinnacle record with a 282-run partnership during the 2011 ODI World Cup.
In reply, Pakistan despite getting off to a good start after Imam Ul Haq and Abdullah Shafique's fifties, ran out steam and were reduced to 305 runs to hand Australia their second consecutive win.
Pakistan are now prepping for their next clash against Afghanistan slated for October 23 at the Chepauk Stadium. Australia, on the flip side, will next next face Netherlands on October 25 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
