One of the biggest Pakistan wickets to fall was that of skipper Babar Azam, who seemed to be in fine form in the match before being sent back to the pavilion.

The Pakistan skipper had reached his half-century off 58 balls before he was sent back to the pavilion. He had a flourishing partnership, but Mohammed Siraj ended all prospects of that happening when he bowled the world no. 1 ODI batter.

The moment Babar lost his wicket was seen as a very big one as the fans in the stadium erupted in glee at the moment he lost his wicket. Among the celebrators in the stands was music composer Arijit Singh, who had also serenaded the fans in the pre-match ceremony with his music.

In a video that has now gone viral on social media, Arijit can be seen whirling a jersey above his head as he joined in the celebrations after the wicket of Babar.

In the 30th over of the game, Siraj cleaned Babar up with a gem of a ball that angled in, aiming for the top of off. Babar tried to run the ball down to third man, but it kept low, and the ball hit three-fourths of the way up the stumps. Ahmedabad roared once more as India secured a much-needed breakthrough.

Earlier, the pace partnership of Mohammed Siraj and Hardik Pandya made an impact within the initial 15 overs. In the eighth over, Siraj claimed the first scalp, dismissing the in-form opener Abdullah Shafique. Shortly after, in the 13th over, Pandya stepped up to remove the other opener, Imam-Ul-Haq. While Shafique was out LBW in a clear decision, Imam nicked the ball to wicketkeeper KL Rahul.

Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 191 runs in 42.5 overs, with all the bowlers sans Shardul Thakur taking two wickets each.
