Babar Azam-led Pakistan is starving for wins in World Cup 2023 as they have lost four in a row. While they have not been able to satisfy their fans with one disappointing performance after another, they have not disappointed their taste buds on the trip to India. The Pakistan side has enjoyed Biryani throughout the tournament so far. On October 29, ahead of their clash against Bangladesh, they preferred biryani over the food available at the five-star hotel. Sports Tak has learned that along with Biryani, they ordered chap, firni, kebabs and shahid tukda from one of the famous restaurants of Kolkata via Zomato.

Pakistan team had arrived at the airport on October 28. The players had sweet curds, sweets and patties on their arrival. One of the hotel floors has been assigned to the Pakistan team. Only service boys enlisted with the security system are allowed on the exclusive floor as the Pakistan cricket team is under strict surveillance.

Bangladesh on October 29 suffered a massive defeat at the hands of the Netherlands that knocked them out of World Cup 2023 semi-final contention. On the other hand, Pakistan’s chances of finishing in the last four hand by a very delicate thread.

Pakistan are currently placed sixth on the points table with just two wins from six games. On the other hand, Bangladesh are placed ninth with five losses from six games and a horrendous net run rate (NRR).

The game against Pakistan will be crucial for Bangladesh if they want to qualify for Champions Trophy 2025. The top seven teams at the league stage excluding Pakistan will qualify for the eight-team event. Bangladesh will look to win their remaining games to keep themselves in hunt for a spot in the major tournament.
