The catch was taken in the 43rd of the innings. A partnership was building between Rahim and Mahmudullah. Jasprit Bumrah was brought back into the attack. On the third delivery, Bumrah bowled a short delivery. Mushfiqur slashed hard and played the cut shot. The ball went to backward point where Jadeja dived to his right and took the catch with both hands. In the commentary box, Dinesh Karthik was left stunned as he described the catch as "unbelievable".

Meanwhile, Rahul's was equally good and mind-blowing. The moment transpired on the first ball of the 25th over when Mehidy Hasan Miraz was strangled down the leg side off Mohammed Siraj's bowling. The ball flew to Rahul behind the stumps and the Indian wicket-keeper flung himself to his left and completed a jaw-dropping one-handed take. In other words, it was an absolute blinder.

After Rahul's magical effort, captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were absolutely ecstatic and the latter was even spotted embracing the wicket-keeper amidst wild celebration.
