Former England captain and legendary batter, Michael Vaughan is of the opinion that India captain Rohit Sharma asked the Ahmedabad DJ to not play 'Dil Dil Pakistan' during the match between the two arch-rivals at the Narendra Modi Stadium. In what appeared to be a hilarious dig at Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur, Vaughan made some hilarious statements that even left Adam Gilchrist in bright laughter.
"His (Rohit Sharma) best move and without a doubt, is the move that won them the game and the Pakistan coach alluded to it afterward. Rohit obviously said to the DJ that please do not play 'Dil Dil Pakistan'. If you are going to play 'Dil Dil', they are going to win. So, do not play that song pre-match and make sure that they don't hear that inspirational song that obviously makes them play so well. We have beaten them seven times in World Cups but if we play 'Dil Dil' today then they are going to beat us. That was clever. Most captains don't think about the DJ or music. Rohit is ahead of his time," Vaughan said on Club Prairie Fire.
Mickey Arthur came up with a bizarre remark after Pakistan's hammering at the hands of India. While lashing out at the atmosphere in Ahmedabad, Arthur said that the crowd at the Narendra Modi stadium was massively dominated by Indian fans.
In an outlandish comment, Arthur said the high-octane clash between India vs Pakistan didn't seem like an ICC event but looked like a BCCI event or a bilateral series in India.
"Look, I'd be lying if I said... It didn't seem like an ICC event, tonight, to be brutally honest. It seemed like a bilateral series; it seemed like a BCCI event. I didn't hear Dil Dil Pakistan coming through the microphones too often tonight," Mickey Arthur said.
"So yes, that does play a role, but I'm not going to use that as an excuse because for us, it was about living the moment, it was about the next ball and it was about how we were going to combat the Indian, the Indian players tonight," he added.

Talking about the match between India and Pakistan that was played on October 14 (Saturday) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Rohit Sharma's men turned the game into a one-sided contest and secured a commanding seven-wicket victory with 19.3 overs to spare.
Captain Rohit starred with the bat once again and played a scintillating knock of 86 runs with the help of six fours and as many sixes. Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten half-century while the bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, were impeccable in executing their game plan.
