SA vs NZ: Tom Latham elects to field as New Zealand and South Africa make one change each in playing XI

South Africa are currently second in the standings with five wins in six matches played so far.

New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the all-importance toss and elected to field against South Africa in the ODI World Cup fixture at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on November 1 (Wednesday). The Blackcaps made one change with Tim Southee replacing Lockie Ferguson in the playing XI: South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma also made one change with Kagiso Rabada replacing Tabraiz Shamsi.

After winning their first four matches of the tournament, the Blackcaps have lost two successive matches and are now desperate to get back to winning ways. After India ended New Zealand's winning streak, Australia edged out their rivals in a pulsating high-scoring thriller in Dharamsala. With four wins in six matches, the Kiwis are currently stationed in third place in the points table. 

The Proteas have been in immaculate form. The South Africans clinched a thrilling victory against Pakistan in their previous match and are now looking to rise back to the top of the points table with a win over the Blackcaps. Bavuma's men are currently second in the standings with five wins in six matches played so far.
