Mohammed Siraj spoke about India's unbeaten run in World Cup 2023.

India are placed at the top spot in World Cup standings.

India premier pacer Mohammed Siraj holds strong belief in India's potential to clinch the World Cup 2023. He attributes their success to the exceptional unity within the Indian team, emphasising the familial bonds among its members.

In a video interview with Star Sports prior to their final group stage clash against the Netherlands in the ODI World Cup 2023, Siraj expressed the team's collective importance, highlighting the support and recognition provided by the team management during the ongoing campaign.

“Right now if you see the team environment, everyone is meeting each other and talking to each other, there is a strong unity evident inside the dressing room. The Indian team is like a family,” Siraj said on Star Sports.

"We know that our goal is the same. We want to win the World Cup for India. The team management is seeking views of everyone, each player is being given his due importance and we know that if we maintain the same atmosphere, we will realise our dream of lifting the World Cup trophy," he further added.

As of now, India stands as the sole unbeaten team in the World Cup, dominating every opponent they've faced. Their most recent victory came against a formidable South African side, where India's bowling attack dismantled the opposition, restricting them to a mere 83 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Siraj himself has formed a formidable partnership with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, and many are hailing the current Indian bowling attack as one of the best in the history of the World Cup. India's next challenge is their last group-stage match against the Netherlands in Bengaluru on November 12. Subsequently, they are likely to meet New Zealand in the semi-finals at Wankhede.

New Zealand remains the only team in the tournament that has posed a significant challenge to India. India has struggled against New Zealand in ICC tournaments since 2019, and they aim to reverse this trend should they face the Kiwis in Mumbai on November 15.
