On Tuesday, November 7 the team captain Babar Azam, along with the bowling coach Morne Morkel, head coach Grant Bradburn, and another member of the support staff, opted for a round of golf. They made their way to the prestigious Royal Calcutta Golf Club, commencing their leisurely game at 9 a.m. and concluding around 2 p.m.
Later that evening, a group of eight cricketers, including Usama Mir, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Wasim, Zaman Khan, Agha Salman, and Mohammad Haris, expressed a desire to delve into Kolkata's local shopping scene.
Initially planning to visit the South City shopping mall, they diverted their course and headed instead to the nearby Mani Square shopping mall, where they indulged in shopping for traditional sarees and shirts from the local stores, evidently revelling in the cultural offerings.
Although the team initially intended to unwind by catching a movie, the plan was eventually abandoned in favour of watching the riveting Afghanistan match, underscoring their unwavering commitment to the sport, even during their off-duty hours. As they prepare diligently for their upcoming match, the Pakistan cricket team appears to be skillfully striking a balance between relaxation and focus, fully embracing the enriching experiences of their World Cup journey on Indian soil.
With their sights set on victory, Pakistan anticipates a resounding triumph against England when the two teams face off in Kolkata on November 11, aiming to sustain their aspirations in the tournament.
