Mitchell Marsh-led Australia posted 164/5 against Aqib Ilyas' Oman with the help of fifties from David Warner and Marcus Stoinis in match 10 of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval, on June 6 (Thursday). However, Oman bowlers started well and rattled the Aussies' top order completely and grabbed three wickets by the score of 50. Star opener Travis Head got out by the third over itself and is facing a lot of trolling on social media now.

Travis Head's dismal outings in T20 continued with the innings against Oman. The batter only has scored 46 runs in the last five T20 innings out of which three were ducks. He had a similar disappointing outing against Oman as he got out after scoring just 12 runs off 10 balls by the third over on Bilal Khan's delivery. Now the explosive batter is facing a lot of trolling on the internet.
Stoinis and Warner's fifty help Australia post 164/5
Australia were only on 63/3 by the end of the 12th over and 80/3 by the 14th over. However, a stunning show from Stoinis and Warner helped the Aussies score 84 runs in the final six overs and reach a really good total from a point where even 120 seemed a little far. Warner got out after scoring crucial 56 runs but Stoinis remained unbeaten on 67 runs off just 36 balls.
“I’m happy how I finished, it was very tough. (On Warner's knock) Shows his experience at the top of the order every game, he is class apart. He spent time in the middle and didn’t panic, he did what is right for the team. We were going to accelerate regardless and if you get one or two boundaries at the start, you target that over. Nothing outright but that’s part of a game-plan,” said Stoinis in the mid-innings session.
