The upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 is the biggest cricketing event of this year, where 20 teams will be competing against each other across 55 matches in order to claim the glory in the shortest format of the game. All 20 have finally announced their squad for the mega tournament. Where New Zealand was the first one to announce their team, Pakistan will be the last in the list to name their 15-member squad. The 20 teams have been divided into four groups of five teams (A, B, C, D).
Out of these 20 teams, only 8 will advance to the next stage. After competing in the Super 8, we will have our four semi-finalists. The marquee event is set to be co-hosted by the West Indies and USA and will commence on 2 June with the clash between USA and Canada. This is the first ICC event that is being held in the United States. The tournament started back in 2007 with the Indian Cricket Team emerging as the inaugural champion. England are the defending champion as they won the 2022 edition and are also one of the top contenders to win this tournament along with India, Australia, and New Zealand.
