Namibia bowl out Oman on 109 runs

Namibia elected to bowl first after winning the toss. They completely dominated Oman with the ball and cut short their innings to just 109 runs. Ruben Trumpelmann was the stand-out bowler for them as he sent Oman's top order back to the pavilion by the third over itself. He finished with a total of four wickets and was well supported by David Wiese who grabbed three wickets and Gerhard Erasmus with two scalps. Meanwhile, Bernard Scholtz also took one wicket.

“The atmosphere is great in the Caribbean, everyone was excited for this first game. The pitch held up a bit and we tried to stick to good areas. You couldn’t ask for more - two wickets in two balls. Perfect start. He got the ball to shape nicely. The wicket is sticking a bit, we need to assess it quickly and play positively,” said Bernard Scholtz in the mid-innings break on his team's performance.
