The T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to start from June 2 which will be jointly hosted by USA and West Indies. For the first time, USA will also feature in the tournament where 20 teams will battle against each other for the coveted trophy. The tournament's first match will be played between the USA and Canada at Grand Prairie Stadium. Apart from Ashes rivals England and Australia, Asian giants and arch-nemesis India and Pakistan will also be in the limelight. India and Pakistan will lock horns with each other in the high-voltage clash on June 9 at Nassau County International Stadium in New York.
Meanwhile, right ahead of the showpiece tournament, co-hosts USA shared a picture featuring Virat Kohli, Shaheen Shah Afridi at Times Square. The photo of the Indian batting juggernaut and Pakistan's pace spearhead went viral on the social sphere in no time.

Notably, when India and Pakistan last featured in the T20 World Cup, Men in Blue won the match by four wickets, and batting maestro Virat Kohli was awarded Player of the Match for his match-winning 82-run knock. However, India ended their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign by losing in the semi-final against England by 10 wickets.
On the other hand, Shaheen Afridi was also in lethal form during that World Cup. Pakistan speedster got 11 scalps in the tournament. Pakistan lost in the final of the tournament where they faced England.
Coming back to the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, India have already announced their squad for the marquee event where Rohit Sharma will lead the side. Meanwhile, Pakistan have not yet announced the squad as it is expected to be unveiled on May 24.
