Indian speedster Mohammed Siraj was felicitated by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for his contribution in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024 which the USA and West Indies hosted in June. The 30-year-old was featured in the three matches of the marquee event and got one scalp. However, the right-arm seamer didn’t leak runs bowling at an economy of 5.18.

CM A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to allot land and a government job on behalf of the State Government to ICC T20 World Cup winner Siraj, who brought fame to India and Telangana. The video of India speedster's felicitation has gone viral on social media, here is the clip.

The CM directed officials to take steps to identify land in Hyderabad or around it immediately. Also, the officials were asked to take steps to give him a government job. Siraj also gifted his signed jersey to the CM and others were present on the occasion. 

 

Earlier, the cricketer received a great welcome from the fans during his arrival in Telangana. He arrived in Hyderabad after being a part of the victory parade and felicitation ceremony in Mumbai. Rohit Sharma-led team India won the ICC title after 11 years. Before this success, India stood victorious in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni.
 

Siraj is currently on rest after the World Cup now he will most likely to feature for India in the upcoming series against Sri Lanka which will reportedly start from from July 27 to August 7. Team India will play three ODIs followed by a 3-match T20I series.
