Leaving no stones unturned: Rohit, Kohli and Dravid's unselfish gestures off the field to ensure Indian pacers get maximum relaxation

Team India is on a quest to end their nine-year ICC trophy draught but sometimes, winning requires a ton of sacrifice, especially in a team sport. The ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia is posing a lot of challenges for the competing teams not just from the cricketing standpoint but the exasperating schedule of the tournament, which involves traveling from Melbourne to Sydney and from Adelaide to Perth and so on and so forth. Relentless training and lengthy travel time can be exhaustive and thus, players need to be very careful about every small step they take.

In order to ensure fast bowlers receive the much-needed relaxation whenever possible, India captain Rohit Sharma, maverick batter Virat Kohli and coach Rahul Dravid have displayed their unselfish demeanor once again. According to a report in Indian Express, the three most senior members of the Indian side have handed their business class seats on flights to Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya so that the quartet, who share a heavy workload of bowling, can have extra leg room for rest and relaxation.

"Before the tournament, we decided that since the pace bowlers clock the maximum mileage on field day in, day out, they need to stretch their legs," Indian Express quoted a support staff as saying.

According to International Cricket Council (ICC) rules, all the 16 teams participating in the T20 World Cup are each allocated four business class seats on a flight. As expected, those luxurious seats are often reserved for the head coach and senior players. In India's case, the senior members of the team took the decision to forego their business class seats for the pacers.
