India are set to play the Netherlands in their second clash of the Super 12 of the ongoing 2022 T20 World Cup in Sydney on Thursday, October 27. The Men in Blue worked extremely hard to win their first match of the campaign against Pakistan on Sunday, October 27, but the Netherlands were not so lucky, having narrowly lost to Bangladesh in their opening match of the T20 World Cup.

But the match might be in danger of being washed out as the threat of rain looms large over the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) after a late thunderstorm hit the city at 2:00 pm local time in Australia.

The current weather in Sydney, according to BBC Weather, says that the highest chance of precipitation is at around 5:00, which will is closer to the end of the India-Netherlands match. As the day progresses, the weather might improve, meaning that fans will get to witness a full 40-over game between India and the Dutch minnows.

As of now, the match is scheduled to take place at the right time, depending on whether the previous match between Bangladesh and South Africa starts on time. As of now, the thunderstorms have seemed to have subsided, meaning that all the three-match scheduled for Thursday, (Pakistan vs Zimbabwe, 4:30 pm IST), will take place on time.
