Australian star opener David Warner, after a match-winning innings of 65 off 42 balls against Sri Lanka on Thursday, was seen emulating global star and football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo at the press conference at the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai.

The action reminded everyone of Ronaldo, who had removed the Coca Cola bottles from the press conference table at Euro 2020.

The Portuguese superstar is known to be strict about his fitness and health. The 35-year-old came for the press conference and saw two Coca-Cola bottles in front of him and tried to copy Ronaldo as he removed the two aerated drink bottles from the press conference.

“Can I move these?,” Warner with a cheeky smile asked.

But the ICC officials intervened and Warner was asked to put the bottles back post which the Australian exclaimed, “Do I have to put it there?" Warner further went on to say, “If it’s good enough for Cristiano, it’s good enough for me.”

Just like the Euro Cup 2020, Coca Cola remains a sponsor of the T20 World Cup 2021. The bottles of the beverage-maker are put on the tables where the players interact with the media during the pre-match and post-match press conferences.

Sri Lanka on Thursday built up their innings with batting support from Kusal Perera (25 off 25), Charith Asalanka (35 off 27) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (33 from 26-balls). But Australia chased down the target  against Sri Lanka with ease in the T20 World Cup Super 12 stage. Leg-spinner Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers for Australia with his two wickets for just 12 runs in his four-over spell.
