With just a day left to go for the Super 12 games of the T20 World Cup, predictions are coming from all quarters from former cricketers and cricket pundits about their hot favorites to win the marquee event this year.

Former Australian legendary spinner Shane Warne has joined the bandwagon in predicting his favorite team to lift the trophy in 2021. While naming India and England as the top-teams to win the title, the spin wizard warned the opponents of making the mistake of ‘underestimating’ Australia in the quadrennial event.

The 52-year-old took to Twitter to state India and England as the favorites going into the T20 World Cup.

Shane Warne’s wrote on his Twitter,

“I think Eng & India have to go in as fav’s for the T/20 WC. NZ always perform well in @ICC events too. But, I have a feeling the Aussies are being underestimated as they have a lot of match winners in their squad. Then you have Pakistan & the WI. Excited to see who win,” wrote Warne.

One of the greats of the game, Warne also backed out of form Australian star player David Warner and England’s skipper Eoin Morgan to end their lean-patch during the tournament saying while they might be out of form, their class is permanent. Warne further added that people should not surprised if either Warner or Morgan will become the player of the tournament.

“Ps Whoever wants to write of @davidwarner31 &@Eoin16 re their lack of form. Remember class is permanent & form is temporary- don’t be surprised if one of these players will be player of the tournament #ICCT20WorldCup2021 ! Who will win followers?,” added the former Australian cricketer.

Warner failed to find his form during his outing with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the first two warm-up games the Australian opener could only manage 0 and 1 respectively.

The England captain’s slump in the form was consistent during the IPL, where he could manage only 133 runs at an average of 11.08.
