Newly-appointed Indian team mentor MS Dhoni caught-up with self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’, Chris Gayle on the sidelines of the preparations for the T20 World Cup in the UAE.
The former Indian captain was at the same venue as Gayle for the India-England warm-up game at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai on Monday. ‘Thala’ was also seen meeting his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) buddy Dwayne Bravo.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to share the golden moment of the two legends with the fans.
“Two legends. One memorable moment. When @msdhoni & @henrygayle caught up,” BCCI captioned the pictures on Twitter.
The mighty West Indian playing for the Punjab Kings in the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, had decided to leave the franchise's bio-bubble due to bubble-fatigue in September.
The 42-year-old is 97 runs short of becoming the highest run-scorer in the T20 World Cup and will be looking to achieve the feat when the defending champions will take on England on October 23 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
