South Africa skipper Sune Luus called Australia an 'annoying side' after the heavyweights sealed their sixth T20 World Cup title with a comprehensive win over hosts South Africa, who reached their first-ever senior ICC World Cup Final in Cape Town on Sunday, February 26.
Luus, who is the first skipper across men's and women's cricket to guide her team to a World Cup final, also added that the side led by Meg Lanning are so good that they are setting a benchmark for other teams to follow.
"You guys are very annoying! But congratulations to Meg and the team. You are setting the benchmark for other teams to live up to," Luus said after the game.
Luus was also proud of the turnout at the Newlands Cricket Ground and said that the future of women's cricket is bright after their glorious performance in the very recently-concluded tournament.

"To play to this crowd with so many people watching and supporting, we never imagined. Exciting few months in store. They have to start club cricket and more provincial cricket to have a continuous supply of players. Just to keep on growing.
"We have set the platform today and throughout the tournament. We can't go up. We need to keep growing through the pipeline and keep challenging Australia," the captain said.

It was a spirited fight for the title against the mighty Australians, who, once again proved why they are the best in the business. Having restricted the side to 156 runs in the first innings, South Africa were unable to overcome the might of the Australian bowlers, as they managed just 137 runs in their stipulated 20 overs.
"If you would have told me before the game that Australia would have scored 156, we would have taken it. We lost wickets at crucial times, they bowled well and we are proud of how we did," Luus said while displaying pride in her side's performance.
