Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on November 23 announced Ravindra Jadeja’s replacement for the three-ODI series against Bangladesh starting December 3. As Jadeja is yet to regain full fitness after undergoing knee surgery, Shahbaz Ahmed has been named as his replacement.
There is another change in the squad. Yash Dayal who received his maiden call-up last month has been replaced by Kuldeep Sen. Dayal has been ruled out due to lower back issue. In-form Madhya Pradesh pacer who represented Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has been rewarded with a place against Bangladesh after impressive performances in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal have been rested from the ODI series. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah is yet to regain full fitness as well.

The series will also mark the return of senior players Rohit, Kohli, Rahul are returning to action after getting rested from New Zealand series post India’s defeat to England in T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final.
