What Indian bowling lineup achieved in Test cricket in recent years has been nothing less than miraculous and their superb bowling display in overseas condition has attracted attention globally. Former India batsman Sachin Tendulkar on December 30 (Thursday) praised India's bowling attack after they registered a Test win over South Africa in Centurion.

The visitors won the match by 134 runs to secure a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series.

Superb bowling by Indian bowlers

Sachin believes that the current Indian bowling lineup can pick up 20 wickets in a Test match anywhere in the world.

"Superb bowling by an attack that can pick 20 wickets in a Test match anywhere in the world. Congratulations to #TeamIndia on a convincing victory!" said Tendulkar in a tweet.

Pacer Mohammed Shami led the attack with eight wickets in the match while other two pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj took five and three wickets respectively across the two South African innings.

Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin although, went wicketless throughout the most of the match but took the last two wickets off consecutive two deliveries to seal India's triumph.

Dada's message

After India's first Test win, Kohli and his men  were showered with praises from Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly and other former India cricketers took to Twitter to praise team India’s victory.

“Great victory for Team India ..not surprised by the result at all...will be a hard team to beat this series..South africa will have to play out of their skins to do that ..enjoy the new year @bcci,” Ganguly wrote on Twitter.

Former India opener Virender Sehwag wrote on Twitter, “Dream 2021 for Team India in Test Cricket. Gabba, Lord’s , Oval, Centurion and who can forget the amazing fight to draw at Sydney. Wishing a happy and even better 2022 for #TeamIndia.”

Earlier India Test team skipper Virat Kohli also hailed Shami as being among the best three fast bowlers in the world.

"For me among the best three seamers in the world at the moment. Just the way he bowls on pitches that don't seem to offer too much to others. He just gets that extra bit from any pitch he bowls on purely because of his strong wrist, his seam position and his ability to hit a length consistently. (Hitting) areas where you can't leave the ball is absolutely his quality and very happy for him to get 200 wickets and another impactful performance," Kohli had said.
