WI vs IND, 3rd ODI Weather Report: Trinidad likely to witness early morning thunderstorm, dark clouds predicted for match hours

SportsTak

India and West Indies are gearing up to cross swords in the third and decisive ODI game on August 1 (Tuesday). With the series locked at 1-1, both teams are starring at a do-or-die outcome. The Men in Blue won the opening game of the series in a rather comfortable manner while the Men in Maroon downed India in the 2nd ODI without even breaking a sweat. The 3rd ODI in Trinidad is likely to provide thrilling action as the series is on the line.

Trinidad weather forecast

Throughout the ongoing India tour of the West Indies, the rain has played spoilsport on more than one occasion, and it looks like the third ODI might be affected by showers. The weather forecast is not very promising for Trinidad on Tuesday. A thunderstorm is predicted in the morning while dark clouds are likely to shroud the city throughout the day.

In all likelihood, the final match of the ODI series might well be decided by the rain gods. With series on the line, fans and both the teams would hope for some respite from the rain so that cricket can take centerstage.

Windies announce T20I squad

All-rounder Jason Holder and explosive batter Nicholas Pooran returned to the Men in Maroon outfit after missing the ongoing ODI series. Hope last played a T20I game for the Windies in February 2022 while Thomas was last seen in a Men in Maroon jersey in 2021.

West Indies T20I squad: Rovman Powell (c), Kyle Mayers (vc), Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Obed McCoy, Nicholas Pooran, Romario Shepherd, Odean Smith, Oshane Thomas.
