India beat Zimbabwe by 100 runs in the 2nd T20I.

India will now face Zimbabwe on July 10 for the third T20I.

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza revealed the reason behind their humiliating 100-run loss against India in the 2nd T20I played at Harare Sports Club in Harare on July 7. He said that dropping catches cost them the match against Shubman Gill-led side. He also lavished praise on Men in Blue for the dominating performance by saying that the world champions will eventually play like world champions.

Zimbabwe's Wellington Masakadza dropped a catch of Abhishek Sharma when he was playing on 27 runs. After that, the star batter smashed his maiden international ton which helped India to score 234.

“The world champions will eventually play like world champions. Dropping catches today certainly hurt us today. I expected 200 on this wicket today but they got 30 runs more. Coming into this game, I thought it would be a close game but it wasn't to be, the top-order didn't play well. He has grown by leaps and bounds, he is very hungry and his graph will keep going up. It's a task we have been talking about since a long time, today we came out positive and played our shots” said Sikandar Raza on post-match conference.

With this win, India levelled the series against the hosts and that was India's biggest margin of victory in terms of runs against Zimbabwe in T20Is. Now after the second T20I, it is expected that Sanju Samson will replace Dhruv Jurel behind the stumps, Shivam Dube with his all-round skills will come in place of Sai Sudharsan and Riyan Parag might have to sacrifice his place for Jaiswal in the match scheduled on July 10.
