The Men in Blue became the first team with 150 T20I wins.

The reigning T20 World Champions have created another historic record. Shubman Gill-led Indian cricket team defeated Sikandar Raza's Zimbabwe by 23 runs in the third T20I of the five-match T20I series at the Harare Sports Club in Harare, on July 10 (Wednesday). This win not only helped them gain a 2-1 lead over ZIM but also made them the first team to reach the biggest milestone in T20I cricket.

India complete 150 T20I win

The win against Zimbabwe in the third T20I was India's 150th win in the shortest format of the game in International cricket. They became the first team in the history of cricket to reach this milestone. A well-deserving side for this massive milestone as they are one of the only three teams to win the prestigious T20 World Cup title twice and are also the current T20 World champions. The second team in the list behind India is Pakistan with 142 wins and after them, it is New Zealand, who is a lot behind with 111 wins. The feat is really big can be understood from the fact that former champions West Indies and Sri Lanka don't even have 90 wins in this format yet.

India beat Zimbabwe in third T20I

To reach this massive milestone, India defeated Zimbabwe in the third T20I by 23 runs. The Men in Blue won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted 182/4 in 20 overs on the scoreboard with the help of a half-century from Shubman Gill and a great cameo knock from Ruturaj Gaikwad. The Indian captain scored 66 runs off 49 balls which also included seven fours and three sixes. The second-highest scorer was Gaikwad with 49 off 28 balls.

Then in the second innings, Washington Sundar's three-fer stole the show as he only gave away 15 runs in his four-over spell. He did not allow the hosts to score runs freely which built a lot of pressure on them in the chase. Apart from him, Avesh Khan also grabbed 2 wickets and Khaleel Ahmed had to settle with just one wicket. They managed to restrict ZIM to 159/6 and won the match by 23 runs.
