PBKS suffered a nine-run defeat at the hands of Hardik Pandya's MI.

The IPL 2024 match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) proved to be a nail-biter until the very last ball. However, Hardik Pandya's MI held their nerves and managed to eke out a nine-run victory over Punjab Kings at the Mullanpur on April 18. Tension was palpable as MI clung to a narrow lead. Needing 12 runs to win in the final over, Punjab Kings prepared for their batting assault. On the Mumbai side, the pressure was on young fast bowler Akash Madhwal. A huddle formed around him, with skipper Hardik Pandya, and former captain Rohit Sharma, and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah offering last-minute advice and strategising for the crucial over.

A viral video captured this tense moment. Akash Madhwal appeared focused on Rohit Sharma's instructions, while Hardik Pandya also offered input with a determined expression on his face. The viral video from the final over huddle captured the discussion centered on crucial field placements for the last six deliveries. As the video ends, Madhwal relays his chosen field setup to Rohit Sharma, seemingly prioritising the captain's guidance over suggestions from teammate Hardik Pandya.
