Kolkata Knight Riders' rising young pacer Harshit Rana brought out a new ‘mute’ celebration during match 54 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, on May 5 (Sunday). Earlier, he suffered a one-match ban due to his aggressive celebration in the match against Delhi Capitals. He was also fined 100 per cent of his match fees for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct.

Harshit Rana who is known for aggressively celebrating his wickets, did not celebrate after dismissing LSG captain KL Rahul. Instead, he put his finger on the lip and did a ‘mute’ celebration. Even KKR posted his picture from their official ‘X’ account formerly known as Twitter. The post is now going viral across the social space.

KKR's dominant outing in Ekana

 

Batting first KKR posted 235/6 and became the first team in history to post a 200-plus run total on the scoreboard in Ekana. Sunil Narine was the star performer as he smashed a blazing 81-run knock off just 39 balls. Then good cameos from Phil Salt, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Shreyas Iyer, and Ramandeep Singh also helped in posting a massive total.

 

They showcased the same domination while bowling and bowled out LSG by the 17th over itself. KKR picked up a comfortable 98-run victory and climbed to the top of the points table.
