Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru player AB de Villiers penned down an emotional note after RCB's four-wicket loss against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on May 22 (Wednesday).

The former SA skipper said it is always painful to see RCB lose but he is also proud of the team for making it into the playoffs from a point where everyone counted them out. He even said that RCB will bounce back from this and come back stronger next year and win the IPL title.

"It’s always painful to lose. But as a fan, I’m proud of the boys for making us believe, even when all hope seemed lost at the start of May. I’m sure #RCB will come back stronger next year and bring home that elusive title," De Villiers wrote from his official 'X' account formerly known as Twitter.
RCB exit from IPL 2024 Playoffs
Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered an exit from the IPL 2024 playoffs after their loss against Rajasthan Royals. RCB batting first posted 172/8 but RR chased it down with one over and five wickets still in their hands. RR have now secured a spot in Qualifier 2 with Sunrisers Hyderabad and the winner of that match will then face Kolkata Knight Riders in the Final of IPL 2024.
