Dube has been one of the consistent players for CSK and played a blazing knock of 66 runs against Lucknow Super Giants at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, on April 23 (Tuesday).
CSK legends urge Ajit Agarkar
CSK's legendary batter Suresh Raina has requested Ajit Agarkar for Dube's inclusion in the Indian T20 World Cup squad. Former CSK all-rounder Irfan Pathan also backed Dube to be a part of the Indian team after his blazing innings against LSG that turned the game completely in Chennai's favour.
“World Cup loading for Shivam dube! @imAagarkar bhai select karo pleas,” Raina tweeted.
“Is there any one striking better than @IamShivamDube in the Indian cricket at the moment in the middle/Death overs? He has to be there in that flight to the World Cup,” tweeted Irafn Pathan.
Dube's knock helps CSK post 210/4
Shivam Dube scored 66 runs off just 27 balls before getting run out in the final over. He along with Ruturaj Gaikwad (108 not out off 60 balls) joined a crucial 104-run partnership and put the hosts on the box seat.
Dube was playing with an astonishing strike rate of 244.44 and smashed three boundaries and seven big sixes during his knock. He was dictating the game with his bat and drove the game away from Lucknow.
