Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings remained unmoved in IPL 2024's points table after former's victory at Mullanpur.

SRH eked out a two-run victory over PBKS to sit fifth in the IPL 2024's points table.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) edged past Punjab Kings (PBKS) by mere two runs in the final over in a nail-biting finish at Mullanpur in Mohali on April 9. Despite a valiant effort from Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma with some late-innings power-hitting, Punjab fell short of the target. Both teams remain in the same positions in the standings, with Hyderabad at fifth and Punjab at sixth with six and four points respectively. However, SRH's net run rate (NRR) did improve and currently they are hot on heels with Ruturaj Gaikwad's CSK with same number of points. While SRH boast an NRR of +0.334, CSK have +0.666.

Earlier, the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium witnessed a more one-sided affair, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cruising to a comfortable victory over Kolkata Knight Riders.  Despite not moving up in the rankings, Chennai maintains their fourth position.

Looking at the top of the table, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) climbed to the third spot after their win over Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians finally secured their first win of the season, climbing to eighth place. Meanwhile, RR continue to top the chart as they still remain undefeated and are beautifully poised on summit with eight points in four matches.
