KKR won the toss and elected to field first against RR in their IPL 2024 clash.

It will be a seven-over-per-side game due to rain.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first in Guwahati on May 19. Due to heavy rain in Guwahati, the match has been reduced to seven overs per side match. However, right after the toss, which got delayed from its scheduled time of 7 pm, showers came back to impede the RR vs KKR clash yet again.

In case the match gets washed out, RR will play the Eliminator 1 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

What did the captains say?

After losing the toss, RR skipper Sanju Samson said:

“Would have bowled first too. Last pitch was a lot drier, this one has a bit more moisture so we wanted to bowl as well. We made last minute changes. I think Nandre Burger might come in and rest is the same.”

Meanwhile after winning the toss, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer said:

“It's a seven over game, we will get a fair idea of how it plays. Anukul Roy comes in.”
