The terrific troika of Prerak Mankad, Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis late blitzes clinched a stunning victory for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) who came from behind to rock Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Saturday (May 13).

Aiden Markram-led SRH posted a stiff total of 182/6 riding on Heinrich Klaasen's 47 off 29 and Abdul Samad's 37 off 25. While defending a challenging target of 183, Hyderabad's bowlers did well to keep LSG's batters in check in first half of the second innings. But Mankad's impressive 45-ball 64, and Pooran (44 off 13), Stoinis' (40 off 25) six-laden knocks left SRH bowlers clueless as to where to bowl and where not to. The fiery duo belted SRH's bowlers left, right and centre to ultimately snatch victory from SRH's hand.

What shifted the momentum in LSG's favour was SRH's 16th over which Abhishek Sharma bowler. The fiery duo of Stoinis and Pooran looted 31-runs off Abhishek's over in which they carted five humongous sixes. This is the joint-most runs conceded by a bowler in IPL 2023.

Stoinis welcomed Abhishek with a 100-metre maximum which he belted down the ground on a full toss delivery. The star Australian all-rounder went for another six following a wide, before he holed out at long off in the third ball.

Then walked in Pooran, who started his blitzkrieg from the very first ball. Pooran launched Abhishek for three more sixes, with the first one going as far as 105 metres.

Pooran continued to wreak havoc on SRH's bowlers and cracked four sixes and three fours in his lightning 44-run knock to win it for LSG.

Abhishek had a day to forget as he returned with a bowling figure of 1/42 in his three-over spell. Abhishek now holds the dubious record for most runs conceded in an over in this edition of IPL along with Yash Dayal of Gujarat Titans and Arjun Tendulkar of Mumbai Indians.
