Delhi Capitals (DC) opener Prithvi Shaw's run of unforgettable innings in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) is not coming to an end as he recorded another duck, courtesy a brilliant pick-up and throw by Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) Anuj Rawat.

DC skipper David Warner took the strike against RCB and on the second delivery itself, a chance for a second run was denied by Shaw that left the Australian angry at the other end. After playing a shot to the cover region on the fourth ball of Mohammad Siraj's over, the 23-year-old took did not take off straightaway to sneak a quick single. Meanwhile, it was a brilliant fielding effort from Rawat, who dived to his left, got up in an instant and pulled off a spectacular direct hit to dismiss the opener.

Even the former New Zealand player-turned-commentator, Simon Doull was angry at Shaw’s running between the wickets and said on air, “You have got to take that first run harder. This is unacceptable.”

The opener who hails from the city Mumbai, had registered scores of 12, 7, 0, and 15 in the first four matches that Delhi has played. It was his second duck of the ongoing IPL.

Earlier, it was Warner's decision to field first as RCB were playing at their homeground M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday April 15. The hosts got off to a flyer as VIrat Kohli scored his third fifty of the tournament but endured a middle overs collapse once again. They managed to put up a total of 174/6 on the board in batting friendly conditions.

King Kohli was the highest scorer for Bangalore as the former skipper scored 50 off 34 deliveries. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav and Mitchell Marsh, both managed to get two wickets each. But, Delhi lost again by 23 runs, making it their fifth loss of this year’s edition as they are yet to open their points tally. Apart from Manish Pandey's half-century, no DC batter failed to make an impact as they could not recover from an early collapse.
