Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) former captain and wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik has been reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during KKR’s match against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Qualifiers 2 in Sharjah on Wednesday.
The IPL official press release informed about the breach of Code of Conduct by Karthik,
“Karthik admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” the official statement read.
The official statement hasn’t specified the exact nature of the breach by the wicket-keeper.
Earlier, the two-time champions qualified for IPL 2021 finals after a wait of 7 years as they held their nerves in the last over to win by 3-wickets over Delhi Capitals. KKR will meet former champions Chennai Super Kings(CSK) on October 15 in Dubai.
