Full list of players retained by 8 franchises for IPL 2022

The wait is finally over as the cash-rich Indian Premier League's (IPL) list of retained players for all existing franchises has been announced. The existing eight franchises have announced the list of players they have decided to retain for 2022 edition of IPL. A maximum of four players can be retained by a franchise. All the released players will be available for bidding the in the mega auction where there will be a major reshuffle ahead of 15th edition of the tournament.


When will mega auction take place?
So far, there is no official confirmation about the date or month of IPL 2022 mega auction. However, it is believed that the mega auction will take place towards the end of December 2021 or in January 2022. The bidding process will be the same as it was in the inaugural season of the league as there is no Right to Match (RTM) card with the introduction of two new franchises making it a 10-team tournament.
