Indian pacer Umesh Yadav recently talked about team India’s disappointing performance in South Africa and the 34-year-old bowler admitted that he “didn't bowl well against South Africa.”
Umesh speaks
"There were injury niggles and problems. Sometimes, you have to manage with that. We had won the first Test. After winning the first Test, we should have played the way we did in the opening Test match in the other two Tests as well,” Umesh Yadav said while speaking to the Times of India.
"A bowler needs support from the other end. If Bumrah is bowling well, he will expect good support from other bowlers from the other end. I didn't bowl the way I always do. I didn't bowl well against South Africa, and I accept it,” the Nagpur-born pacer further added.
In the three-match Test series against South Africa, the Indian team started the series on a positive note after winning the first Test but later the hosts scripted an amazing comeback and clinched the Test series 2-1.
In the three-match ODI series, the Proteas displayed a terrific show as well after they whitewashed Indian team 3-0.
