One of the two new franchises in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 edition, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will begin their maiden campaign against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai on March 28. The KL Rahul-led side has been considered as the best on paper after their utility picks in the IPL 2022 mega auction where mentor Gautam Gambhir called the shots.
This will be Rahul’s chance to lead a new franchise to glory in the 10-team tournament after ordinary seasons with Punjab Kings (PBKS). LSG roped in a few big players including Quinton de Kock, Jason Holder and others in the auction for big bucks and will be looking to start their season with a bang against Hardik Pandya-led GT which looks relatively unbalanced.
