Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Hardik Pandya smashed a 49-ball 67 to take his team to an unassailable total for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during their Indian Premier League (IPL) match in Mumbai on Saturday. Pandya's half-century - his third of the season - set a target of 157 for KKR, and the 28-year-old made good use of his bowlers to ensure an eight-run victory over the two-time IPL champions.
Pandya's performance ensured that he moved to second on the Orange Cap standing with 295 runs to his name.
Another player to break into the top 10 batters is Andre Russell, who once again smashed the ball in every direction for KKR. This time, however, his efforts went in vain as KKR were kept to a score of 148, losing their fifth match of the ongoing season.
