Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 25 (Friday) issued an official statement stating that they “will be making changes” to their “approach and team on social media” after their skipper Sanju Samson’s demand of being “professional.”
RR's official statement
"In light of today's events, we will be making changes to our approach and team on social media. Everything is well within the squad ahead of the first game as the boys prepare for SRH. The management will revisit our overall digital strategy and appoint a new team in due course,” the Rajasthan Royals statement read.
"We realise that it is the IPL season and fans want the account to post updates regularly. We will find temporary solutions in the interim," the statement further read.
Previously, in a now-deleted tweet the RR social media had posted an edited photo of skipper Sanju Samson sitting in a bus. But, the RR skipper later expressed his displeasure on Twitter.
Samson reacts
"Its ok for friends to do all this but teams should be professional. @rajasthanroyals," Samson wrote.
Rajasthan Royals will start their IPL campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 29 (Tuesday) at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
Mumbai Indians franchise led by Rohit Sharma will have Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Lucknow Super Giants in Group A of the 2022 edition of IPL.

With the addition of two new teams, this year’s IPL will have 10 teams vying for the prestigious trophy. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are the two new entrants.
