The big showdown between the former champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) is just few hours away from going underway at the Chepauk stadium on Wednesday (April 12).
It will be a clash between two star wicketkeeper-batters, MS Dhoni and Sanju Samson, whose teams are shinning on the points table with two wins out of three matches. Both the teams will look to go top of the table after winning the battle at Chepauk. While CSK won their last game against Mumbai Indians (MI), RR clinched a 57-run victory against Delhi Capitals in their previous game.
The high octane clash will also see many players playing against their former franchise. The likes of Ben Stokes, Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube will play against their former team RR while R Ashwin, Murugan Ashwin and KM Asif will appear against CSK.
Meanwhile, both RR and CSK's players were seen grinding in the nets on the eve of the high-octane clash. But what garnered the maximum eyeballs was the sight in which RR skipper Samson was spotted batting alongside the legendary Dhoni in the nets. The video set the social media ablaze which also saw the duo playing a familiar shot during the nets.

All the eyes will be on the dazzling duo of Samson and Dhoni. Just like Dhoni, the Kerala-based star batter is also known for banging big sixes. However, despite his IPL success Samson is still fighting for a place in the Indian team.
On the other hand, it will be a milestone match for the talismanic Dhoni as he will be featuring in his 200th match as a skipper for the CSK.
Talking about the head-to-head clash, CSK have the upperhand on the Men in Purple. However, RR have emerged as the most dominant team going by the last five encounters in chich they have defeated CSK four times in IPL.
