It won't be an exaggeration to say that Rajasthan Royals (RR) set the tone of Indian Premier League (IPL) by clinching the title in the inaugural season in 2008 in the leadership of great Shane Warne. In IPL 2022, RR again made it to the final for the first time since becoming champions in 2008, but ended up losing the summit clash to Gujarat Titans. Sanju Samson-led side will be itching to better their last year's performance by grabbing the hold on the trophy one more time to give their former captain Warner a perfect tribute in the IPL 2023 which is slated to kick start from March 31.
Royals' strength in Fantastic Four
Barring a few changes here and there and some injuries, RR has managed to keep its core team intact. The strength of the RR is in their top four. These batters are lethal, formidable, polished and highly touted batters. Beside skipper Samson, Jos Butler is the biggest name among them who won the Orange Cap in IPL 2023, but the other two are top domestic Indian batters. Devdutt Padikkal may have had a decent domestic season but that doesn’t overshadow his class. If the opposition wants to stand a chance in front of them, they have to find a way to deal with the top 4. Their bowling is the best in the TATA IPL 2023 on paper. They have experience and youth together. The spin combination of Ashwin and Chahal looked good but they have managed to get Zampa in the mix too.
