MI's run in IPL 2022

MI had a horrible IPL 2022 as they managed to win just four games out of 14 and finished at the bottom of the points table. The big names did not live up to their potential and it led to all-rounder Pollard announcing his IPL retirement just hours before the retention list was announced. They missed the services of English speedster Jofra Archer who they had picked in the mega auction for a hefty price despite him being injured.

As MI could not retain their core group and lost utility all-rounders in Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, they could not find the perfect combination. They will look to fill the gaps in the upcoming auction.
