'Looking forward to playing with Jasprit Bumrah': Ex-RCB player Tymal Mills expresses his desire ahead of IPL 2022

England pacer Tymal Mills is eagerly waiting to take part in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians. The 29-year-old pacer was roped in by Mumbai Indians franchise for an amount of Rs 1.5 Crore. Mills is also "looking forward to playing with" Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah in the 15th edition of IPL.


Eagerly waiting 

“Looking forward to meeting all my new teammates. Obviously a great franchise. Had the chance to spend a little bit of time with Bumrah during the World Cup. So looking forward to playing with him.


“I haven’t played at the Wankhede before. This is my first time back since 2017. I have been wanting to come back for a long time and I am happy to get an opportunity,” Mills said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians franchise.


Previously, the English bowler was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise. In IPL, he has played 5 matches and picked up 5 wickets as well. 

The left-arm pacer has represented England in 12 T20I matches and has scalped 11 wickets at a strike rate of 22.73.


MI's first match

For the upcoming 15th edition of Indian Premier League 2020, Mumbai Indians frachise led by Rohit Sharma will have Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Lucknow Super Giants in Group A.


On the other hand, Group B is comprised of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans.


The final match of the IPL is slated to be played on May 29. With the addition of two new teams, this year’s IPL will have 10 teams vying for the prestigious trophy. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants are the two new entrants.
