Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni was seen in conversation with the Delhi Capitals (DC) players following the latter's loss to CSK in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (May 8) night.
Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant along with teammates Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Khaleel Ahmed were spotted attending CSK skipper MS Dhoni's round table meeting after the four-time champions hammered DC by 91 runs in their crucial IPL 2022 game in Mumbai.
Dhoni has never stopped himself from sharing his abundant cricketing knowledge and experience with the younger generation of cricketers. Be it spending time with the Ranchi cricket team during limited-overs tournaments or guiding young spinners in the India cricket team, Dhoni's contribution to cricket and Team India has been a major highlight of his cricketing career.
CSK's win moved them to the eighth position in the league table and will now need to win three games and depend on other results to make it as fourth place entrants in the playoffs. "If we make the playoffs, great. But even if we don't it's not the end of the world," Dhoni said after CSK's emphatic win over DC.
"I am not a big fan of maths. Even in school, I wasn't good at it. Thinking of the Net Run Rate doesn't help. You just want to enjoy the IPL. When two other teams are playing, you don't want to be under pressure and thinking. You just have to think about what to do in the next game," he added.
However, he did admit that the cricket they are playing now could have been played a few games earlier. "It would have been better if we had a win like this somewhere early. It was a perfect game."
