Punjab Kings (PBKS) secured a 54-run victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday (April 3) to climb to fourth spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) points table. The Punjab-based team have bagged four points with a positive Net Run rate (NRR) of 0.238, after playing three matches.

On the other hand, CSK are currently at ninth spot. The defending champions have lost all their three matches in the ongoing edition of IPL 2022. Rajasthan Royals remain at the top spot with four points (NRR 2.100).
CSK all-rounder Shivam Dube scored a half century against PBKS on April 3 and his terrific knock of 57 helped him to earn third position in the list of highest run-scorers with a total of 109 runs. PBKS all-rounder had scored 60 runs off 32 deliveries against CSK and his match-winning knock helped him in fourth spot (98 runs) in the list.

On the other hand, PBKS spinner Rahul Chahar exhibited his superb bowling skills to claim three wickets against CSK. His match-winning bowling display helped him in climbing up to second position (6 wickets) in the list of highest wicket-takers. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Umesh Yadav remains at the top spot of the list with 8 wickets.
In the match, the Mayank Agarwal-led side registered a total of 180/8 in 20 overs, against CSK. Livingstone’s splendid half century helped them in achieving a solid total.
In reply, the defending champions lost their first five wickets within eight overs. Later, Dube (57 runs off 30 balls) put up a brave show to help his side in avoiding the early danger. But eventually his innings proved to be inconsequential as CSK were bundled out for 126 in 18 overs.
