Chennai Super Kings (CSK) booked their place in Indian Premier League (IPL) final on May 23 (Tuesday) after defeating defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in Qualifier 1. MS Dhoni's led Super Kings qualified for a record 10th IPL final after putting in a complete team effort against a strong Gujarat team. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja once again put on a clinic and excelled with both bat and ball in a crunch game.
Jadeja first played a handy cameo of 22 runs off 16 balls with the help of two fours to push CSK's total to 172/7 in 20 overs. Later, the all-rounder weaved his magic with the ball and picked up two crucial wickets against the run of play. The left-arm spinner dismissed Dasun Shanaka and David Miller during his imperious spell with the ball and finished with figures of 2/18 in four overs.
After the game, Jadeja was awarded the most valuable asset of the match award for his all-around contribution that helped CSK reach the final for the 10th time.
Upon receiving the award, the veteran cricketer hit out at his critics once more and shared a cryptic tweet that said, 'Upstox knows but..some fans don’t." Jadeja highlighted that some people don't know his value and added two laughing emojis in the tweet.
The CSK all-rounder's latest tweet comes in the backdrop of his previous tweet three days ago when he shared a photo with the words, "Karma will get back at you, sooner or later it surely will." Jadeja shared the image with the caption: “Definitely” followed by a thumbs-up emoticon.
Talking about the Jadeja, the all-rounder has played a pivotal role for the Men in Yellow this season. His three-dimensional ability has been one of the main reasons behind the Yellow Army now standing at a touching distance of the promised land.
In the ongoing season, the left-arm spinner has accounted for 19 wickets in 15 matches at a fantastic average of 20.68.
